BELLE - Caterpillar recently recognized the tremendous achievements of dealers within the Americas Distribution Division at the bi-annual Circle of Excellence awards meeting in Colorado Springs, June 15-17. The Circle of Excellence Award was presented to the top 15 dealers in recognition of their 2009 and 2010 performance, based on six top-tier metrics focused on market share, profitability and customer satisfaction. The Cecil I. Walker Machinery Co. was among them.
Caterpillar Chairman Doug Oberhelman and Group President Stu Levenick presented the awards to the recipients. In recognizing their efforts Oberhelman said, “You represent the very best dealers in the America’s trisphere. You delivered tremendous results in 2009 and 2010 -two incredibly difficult years. And most importantly, you took care of our customers. As you know, this award is based on three main measures—PINS, profitability and customer satisfaction. We all know there are lots of factors that go into each of those measures, but at the end of the day, I think it really comes down to customer relationships and the trust our customers have in you and your team.”
“Unmatched Dealer Support is one of our key operating principles and the dealers represented here have proven over the past two years to be the best of the best in distribution excellence,” Levenick said. “But this event is about more than just recognizing their great performance. It’s an opportunity for us to learn from them. In addition to this well deserved recognition, the meeting also provides a unique opportunity to spend time with these dealers’ principals, to discuss and exchange ideas and thoughts on some of our more pressing and challenging strategic issues as we look to our future.”

In addition to Walker, the Americas Distribution Divisions 2011 Circle of Excellence winners include: Butler Machinery Co., Carter Co., Holt Machinery Co., Johnson Machinery Co., Puckett Machinery Co., Toromont Industries, Western States Machinery Corp., Whayne Supply Co., Wyoming Machinery Co., Finning International, Inc.
